In Memory of Richard Kent Farley
Richard Kent Farley, age 57, passed away on June 29, 2004 in Corpus Christi, TX. He was born on February 6, 1947 in Ada, OK. Richard had been a resident of Ingleside for the past 22 years. He served as a Captain in the U.S. Army for five years. He graduated from St. Mary's University in San Antonio in 1972, while there he was a member of Tau Epsilon Chi fraternity. One of the biggest joys in his life was making his family and friends laugh. He was known as the King of One Liner Jokes. Hunting and relaxing at the ranch with his best friend, George Manassian were his favorite leisure activities.
Richard worked for Valero Refinery for over 20 years. He was the founder of the Turnaround Planning Division and was recently made Director of the Gulf Coast Region of Turnaround Planning for Valero.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jack Farley and brother, John Farley who lost his life in the Vietnam War. He is survived by his loving high school sweetheart and wife of over 38 years, Lana Livingston-Lynch Farley of Ingleside, TX; two sons and their wives, Dr. Derek and Robin Farley of Oak Point, TX and Matthew and Abigail Farley of Corpus Christi, TX; mother, Tawanah Farley of San Antonio, TX; sister, Ann Cole of Houston, TX and two twin grandsons on the way.
