Hundreds of Military Brats travelled around the world aboard troop ships such as the U.S.S. Simon B. Buckner in the 1940s and 1950s. Recently I found a treasure hidden in a desk that I haven't seen anywhere else and wanted to share it with others who sailed on one of these ships. So I've converted this 32-page booklet to an Adobe Acrobat file (pdf) and placed it here for download. The file is just under 3mb in size and will cost the Military-Brats Registry a bit extra in bandwidth costs. So I'm asking you for a donation if you download the file. But, the donation will be shared between the Military-Brats Registry, The American Overseas Schools Historical Society, and Operation Footlocker. Why? Because each of these organizations are designed to reconnect Military Brats with their past. You can read more about AOSHS and OPFOOT by clicking the tabs in the header at the top of this page. A new window will open, so you won't lose your place here!
